MuniPaaS is seeking a Salesforce Solution Architect to design, implement, and maintain innovative Salesforce solutions for our municipal and public sector clients. This role is pivotal in understanding complex business challenges, translating them into scalable technical solutions, and leading the architecture and development of Salesforce ecosystems tailored to the needs of local governments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Salesforce Service Cloud, strong technical leadership skills, and a passion for mentoring teams and delivering impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Development
- Design and build scalable Salesforce solutions, including declarative and custom configurations (Apex, Lightning Components, APIs).
- Architect applications to support municipal functions using Service Cloud and Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (Industries) such as 311 service management, citizen engagement, licensing, and inspections.
- Develop data models, automation solutions (e.g., Flows), user interfaces, and security configurations tailored to public sector requirements.
- Ensure solutions integrate seamlessly with third-party systems and meet regulatory and compliance standards.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Collaborate with municipal stakeholders, MuniPaaS project teams, and client leadership to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Lead major projects, guiding technical teams to solve complex business challenges.
- Mentor team members, enforcing best practices, coding standards, and robust design patterns.
- Participate in client meetings to communicate project status, provide strategic recommendations, and build trusted relationships.
Quality Assurance & Security
- Conduct detailed audits and security assessments of Salesforce instances to ensure adherence to public sector data protection regulations.
- Establish and maintain technical standards for development, integration, and deployment.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement internal automation solutions to enhance MuniPaaS deliverables and client satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and improved scalability within Salesforce environments.
- Stay informed about Salesforce releases, tools, and industry trends to recommend enhancements and upgrades.
Qualifications
Required:
- 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, with expertise in Sales and Service Clouds.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Application Architect, System Architect, or relevant Solution Architect certifications).
- Proven ability to gather requirements, design solutions, and lead development projects end-to-end.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce object models, SOQL/SOSL, and integration with external systems via APIs.
- Significant experience with data migration strategies from legacy systems into Salesforce.
- Proficiency in declarative tools (Flows, Validation Rules, Reports, Dashboards) and programmatic development (Apex, Lightning Components, Aura).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with public sector clients.
Preferred:
- Salesforce PD2 or JavaScript Developer I certification.
- Experience with OmniStudio, integrating Salesforce with ERPs or third-party applications.
- Familiarity with public sector use cases, compliance, and workflows.
- Proficiency in UI technologies such as Bootstrap, Lightning Design System, AngularJS, or jQuery.
